St Patricks Day at Mijas Bowls club
What a wonderful Day we had for St Patricks Day. The sun came out and it was so lovely and warm. The bowls games were well organised this year by Brian and Jean Lancaster. It was a lot of fun and you needed some skill to score. Three different games of 6 ends, two games were reasonably easy but one game was quite difficult and rely did fox some people. Everyone dressed up in something green and the prize for the best dressed Man went to Frank Richardson and the prize for the best dressed Lady went to Bernadette Thomas. Both prizes were given by Des Huddlestone which was much appreciated. Unfortunately Des had a fall and was not able to be with us. We hope you recover soon Des. The best score for the men was Frank Ball and the best score lady was Chris Taylor. The club house was beautifully dressed by Carol Wright; Don Smith cooked the sausages on the B.B.Q, the rest of the lunch was cooked in the kitchen by Carol Wright. Deserts were made by Sheila and Dine. Jean Lancaster arranged a quiz which was quite difficult, but fun and we all had a good laugh. There were some Irish songs that added to the atmosphere, it was a really good day.
