THREE KINGS DAY AT MIJAS BOWLS CLUB
Report by Christine Wilson Photographs by Eric Wilson
The Christmas season came to an end with the celebration of Three Kings Day when the morning was taken up by fun bowling for which small prizes were offered. These were won by Alan Bloom and his partner Sheila Graveling who finished in first place. There was a tie for second place between Kevin Bloe and Judy Hutton and Val Allard with Robert Wright. There was also a prize for the best crown which went to Diane Rycroft.
Following the bowling was a short quiz and then came lunch which consisted of lasagne, fresh green salad and crusty bread followed by Kings Cake served with cream and ice cream. Once again Carol had been busy along with her trusty helpers Gladys Bloe and Diane Rycroft. All those present certainly enjoyed the day, but then came the sting in the tail when everybody was asked if they would help to take down the club house decorations. They most certainly came down in a lot less time than it took to put them up! The festive season was over for another year.
